About the Recipe

Although originally found in Italy, this method is used all over the world. Especially in Europe & Latin America. With a Moka Pot, water is heated in the bottom chamber that ascends through the finely ground coffee, which results in a rich and concentrated brew. If you do not have an espresso machine, using a Moka Pot is a great 2nd choice.

Ingredients

  • Freshly roasted Story Seed Coffee

  • Grinder

  • Moka Pot

  • Stove

  • Hot water

  • Scale

  • Timer

  • Mug

Preparation

Coffee to Water Ratio: FIll the Moka Pot filter basket.

For a single serving (60ml): Use approximately 10 grams of coffee.


  1. Fill the bottom chamber with water. This will make the process quickerin starting the brewing process.

  2. Grind your fresh coffee beans to a fine ground and inster it in the filter basket.

  3. After placing a filter basket into the base, secure the top chamber and aseemble the pot.

  4. Place the Moka Pot on medium heat.

  5. As the water heats, coffee collects in the top chamber.

  6. When you hear a gentle gurgle, remove from the stove and serve immediately.
